The only thermal spring in the Balearics
Font Santa is a thermal spring known for centuries: the water comes out of the ground warm and full of minerals, something very rare on the islands. In fact, it’s the only natural thermal water spring in Mallorca and the Balearics. It sits in a beautiful protected setting, between the fields of Campos and the salt flats, a stone’s throw from Es Trenc and the Salobrar where you can see the flamingos.

The spring is now used by the Fontsanta Hotel Thermal Spa & Wellness, a five-star adults-only hotel that has built a thermal circuit around the water: an indoor onsen-style spring, warm-water pools and basins, saunas, a hydrotherapy area and a menu of treatments (massages, wraps, facials). It’s a small, carefully run place, made for switching off calmly rather than rushing around.
It’s a perfect plan for a cloudy or windy day, when the beach isn’t tempting: instead of losing the day, you treat yourself to a few hours of warm water and a massage ten minutes from home.
How to visit it from Colònia
From Colònia it’s about 10 minutes by car along the Campos road. You don’t need to stay there: the spa usually offers access to the thermal circuit and treatments by the hour to outside visitors too. That said, being adults-only, limited in capacity and in high demand, you need to book ahead and confirm prices and opening hours directly with the hotel.
