Taxis in Colònia
As it’s a small town, don’t expect a big fleet or a rank full of taxis at any hour: here the norm is to call and book. These are the local taxis of Colònia de Sant Jordi (we’re giving you all of them so you always find one free). From abroad, dial +34 before the number:
| Taxi | Phone |
|---|---|
| Taxi Áncora | 636 96 71 85 |
| Jaime y María | 630 13 28 34 |
| Lorenzo y Toni | 606 18 14 90 |
| Auto Taxis Colònia de Sant Jordi | 971 655 867 |
| J.M. Calzada | 618 60 85 21 |
| Contesti | 600 44 08 45 |
| Radio Taxi Mallorca (central) | 971 20 12 12 |
And a few minutes away, if none are free, there are taxis in Campos (e.g. Fastaxi, 633 11 05 55) and Santanyí. To get around within the town you’ll barely need one (everything is walkable); book it mainly for the airport or a specific day trip.

Airport and tips
The transfer to Palma airport takes about 45-55 minutes (roughly 50 km by motorway). If you arrive or leave by taxi, book it in advance, especially for early flights or in peak season, when demand is high. A tip: when you book, confirm the approximate fare for the airport run so there are no surprises. And if your plan is to move around the area a lot (Es Trenc, coves, inland villages), consider a hire car: for that it’s more comfortable and works out cheaper.
Taxi numbers and fares can change. Confirm the number and the approximate price when you book; if you stay with us, we’re happy to help you arrange the transfer.
FAQ
Are there taxis in Colònia de Sant Jordi?
Yes, but only a few (it’s a small town), so it’s best to book ahead, especially in summer and for the airport. There is a local taxi service in Colònia and also in nearby Campos and Santanyí.
How long is the taxi to Palma airport?
About 45-55 minutes, roughly 50 km by motorway. Book the taxi in advance if you have a flight, especially early in the morning.
Do I need a taxi or a hire car?
If you only want the beach and the town, a taxi for the transfer and then getting around on foot works well. If you want to explore the area (Es Trenc, coves, villages), a hire car is more practical.
Who it’s for (and who it isn’t)
Great if you need a taxi now and then: airport, a night out or without a car.
Skip it if you get around the village on foot: almost everything is close.
Local tip: in summer and at night, book by phone ahead; save the number, there aren’t always taxis waiting at the rank.
