How much does a week in southern Mallorca cost? It mostly depends on the season and the type of accommodation, but it’s easy to plan. We live in Colònia de Sant Jordi and here’s an honest budget by tier, with real 2026 prices (food, car, beach, excursions) and a worked example for a week. Flights are separate, as they vary hugely.

What the price depends on

Three things rule. First, the season: the last week of July and August are the peak; whereas May, June, September and October offer the same sea for much less. Second, how many of you: an apartment for 4 works out far cheaper per head than two hotel rooms. And third, whether you rent a car (in the south, better to).

Accommodation: apartment or hotel

It’s the biggest cost. An apartment for 2-4 in Colònia runs, per week, about €700–1,200 depending on season, with the bonus of a kitchen to save on meals. A mid-range hotel usually costs more per person and has no kitchen. Booking direct saves commissions (with us, 5%). More in hotel vs apartment.

Car and getting around

Car hire is €30–50/day (more in August), roughly €250–400 a week. Fuel is little (distances are short), and in Colònia parking is usually free; you only pay at Es Trenc in season (about €5–8 a day).

Food: cook or eat out

Your call here. With a kitchen, the weekly shop saves a lot; eating out is affordable if you look for the set lunch (menú del día). Typical prices:

ItemApprox. 2026 price
White coffee€1.60–2
Small beer (caña)€2.50–3.50
Set lunch (menú del día)€15–18
À la carte dinner (per person)€30–45
Es Trenc parking (day)€5–8
Cabrera excursionfrom ~€45

Beach and activities

The best here is free: the beaches and the sea. For extras, budget the Cabrera excursion (from ~€45), renting a boat without a licence (~€90–150 half-day + fuel) or the salt flats tour (affordable). One or two activities round off the week nicely.

Worked example (couple, mid-range, June)

ItemWeek (2 people)
Apartment (7 nights)~€900
Car + fuel~€330
Food (mix cook/eat out)~€350
Beach + parking~€40
Activities (Cabrera + boat)~€230
Total (no flights)~€1,850

That’s about €925 per person for the week excluding flights. On a budget (low season, cooking more, no car or shared) it drops to ~€1,100–1,300 for two; comfortable (August, more restaurants) easily tops €2,800.

How to spend less without missing out

Five levers that work: travel in the shoulder season (same sea, lower price); choose an apartment with a kitchen; book direct (5% off); make the most of free beaches and the set lunch; and shop at the village supermarket for breakfasts and the beach. With that, a great week needn’t be expensive.
