1. Boat trip to Cabrera
The star plan: sail to the Cabrera National Park, a marine reserve with crystal water and the Cova Blava. It leaves from Colònia’s port. See the Cabrera excursion.
2. Es Trenc beach
Es Trenc, almost 3 km of white sand and turquoise water 10 minutes away, is the south’s postcard beach. How to get there and park, in the Es Trenc guide.
3. The salt flats and flamingos
Beside Es Trenc, the Salines d’Es Trenc (Flor de Sal, guided tour) and the Salobrar, one of the best places to see flamingos.

4-7. Water sports
The clear water invites everything: snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding, diving and renting a boat without a licence. Four plans in one.
8. The Cabrera aquarium and visitor centre
In the village, the Cabrera visitor centre has aquariums of the archipelago’s marine life: a perfect plan with children or on a very hot day.
9. Botanicactus, in Ses Salines
One of the largest botanical gardens in Europe, with thousands of cacti and palms, a short drive from Colònia. More in what to see in Ses Salines.
10. The village beaches
A stroll away are Es Port and Es Dolç, shallow and calm: ideal for families. And for solitude, the quieter coves.
11. Markets and food
The market (Colònia on Tuesday, Ses Salines on Thursday, Santanyí Wednesday and Saturday) and Mallorcan cooking: pa amb oli, tumbet, ensaïmada. And to go with it, the local wineries.

12. Sunsets and stargazing
End the day with a sunset at the Cap de ses Salines lighthouse, and in summer, with the starry sky of one of the island’s darkest areas.

Skip it if you’re after one specific plan: here there are 12.
